Code drives the world

In Code Rescue, your code should not vanish into a window – it should do something in the world. In October we rebuilt CodeCity for exactly that.

Five areas

Each district is now an area of its own with a clear identity:

  • PHP – factory halls where the machines start up again.
  • Python – an academy in the jungle by the beach.
  • C# – a harbour under a water dome, reached by elevator.
  • JavaScript – a neon garden in the middle of the green.
  • Rust – castle ruins with tasks inside their halls.

Ports and the AR headset

The terminals are no longer consoles but ports in the world. You connect with your AR headset, and the editor appears in your visor. A marker shows you the way to the next open port, a compass the direction.

Energy

A district needs power before its ports work. Later we added wind turbines and solar fields, which you bring online with your own code and which supply energy cells.
