Code Rescue 0.8.0 – Always Know What Comes Next

Version 0.8.0 brings options that help you concentrate on coding: you now always know what to do next.

Always a goal

  • A goal card on the island and in the city shows your next goal.
  • A golden goal marker highlights it in the world, and an arrow at the screen edge shows the way.
  • Ask REPL (key Q): REPL tells you what to do next at any time.
  • Recap when you continue: REPL reminds you where you were and what comes next.

Focused coding

In the editor's focus mode (F8), the world is dimmed, the music gets quieter and REPL stays silent.

Comfort options

  • New options tab "Comfort" with "Less motion & effects".
  • You can now rebind keys in the options: Ask REPL, replay basics and focus mode.
