Code Rescue 0.23.1 – A calm crossing

If you took the ferry from Tutorial Island to CodeCity, you saw a large hole in the sea. There were two reasons: the sea surfaces of the island and the city did not touch – 40 metres of water were missing right on the ferry route – and the sea around the city was hidden together with the city while you were on the island side. Now one unbroken sea connects both islands and reaches the horizon in every direction.

With the graphics option “Volumetric Fog”, the whole scene lay under a milky veil when the moon rose, as if the sun were coming up. The moonlight is deliberately bright enough to see by at night – so in the fog it scattered just as strongly as the sun. Now the moon scatters only a fraction of that, and the fog checks the shadows: air that no light reaches no longer glows towards the sun or moon.

And in the playtest: the wind turbines and solar fields of the other language districts – Python, CShark, JS and Rust – could be switched on although those districts are not part of the playtest yet. They are now locked, glow red and show the same notice as the gates. The objective marker no longer leads there either.
